Wow, that is so awesome. I had no idea you could get programs for your DS...but...how do you actually get them? I've been searching around but haven't been able to find an explanation.

Do you know a good place to purchase the Slot-1, Slot-2 and Flash cards needed to make DS homebrewed?
Particularly a physical store?
Don't get slot 1 and 2. I recommend from experience getting a slot 1 R4 from realhotstuff.com they are great and sooo easy. Not extra stuff, just click and drag files
sorry, forgot to say not to get a slot 2. r4 is all your need.
